JAUWS has teamed up with Anime@UTS, AnimeUNSW, AnimeMQ and SUAnime to bring you a new and exciting event - the Anime Christmas Cruise!!

To be held on Friday, 2nd December after a hard year of study and exams. The cruise is the biggest club event of the year! Not to mention a great way to kick off the holidays.
So what’s happening on the cruise? The cruise starts with a full buffet dinner after that there’ll be some games and dancing, as well as a cosplay competition!

This is no ordinary cosplay competition. In the Anime Christmas Cruise Cosplay Competition everyone who cosplays on the cruise is an instant entrant! Sadly on the boat there’s not enough room for a stage so no skits or interviews with the cosplayers. Instead there’ll be judges will be wandering about checking out all the cosplays.
Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Anime Christmas Cruise Cosplay King
• Anime Christmas Cruise Cosplay Queen
• Anime Christmas Cruise Pirate
• and more awards to be announced!

If you think you are in with a chance of being Anime Christmas Cruise Cosplay King or Queen, or perhaps your inner pirate is just waiting to get out. Then dress up, come on down, and win some prizes!

What’s it all going to cost? Well the short answer is $60 for non-members and $50 for JAUWS members. For a night on the harbour at Christmas time it’s a pretty good price! It’s got everything awesome in it; boats, water, city lights, food, cosplay and friends. A great way to finish up the year!

JAUWS members and members of other clubs will receive a discount on ticket price. Tickets are limited so get in early to secure your place on the boat!

Anime Christmas Cruise
When: Friday 2nd December
Where: Departing from King Street Wharf
What time?: Please arrive by 6:30pm, boat leaves at 7pm sharp -no refunds for those who arrive late and don’t make it onto the boat!
Tickets?: $50 for JAUWS members, $60 for non-members
Tickets are available at all JAUWS screenings and events.

Also, the event is open to all ages, there will be a cash bar on the boat. ID must be provided when purchasing alcohol.
