The 2007 AGM for JAUWS is quickly approaching. The purpose of this meeting is to elect new executives for 2008.
As all of the current executive body will be retiring this is quite an important moment for the future of the club. Currently there are three(3) positions open for nominations; President, Treasurer and, Secretary.
People who are interested in these positions are encouraged to nominated themselves. Currently there are only two candidates, it is vital that there is at least one person for each position.

Even if you’re not interested in taking on responsibility for running the club next year, we do encourage you to turn up to the meeting in order to help choose what happens in 2008. After all this is your club.

• When: 3pm - Friday November 2nd
• Where: Swamp Bar, Kingswood campus (outside K building near K1-04)

Please try and make an effort to come. The future of JAUWS depends on it. Our club is the oldest Japanese animation focused university club in Sydney (and maybe NSW), it would be a shame to let it end here.

On a lighter note there’ll be free stickers available for all who attend the meeting.

Don’t forget! Halloween party this Saturday night at UTS! Click here for all the info! It’s going to be a pretty fun night all round. Tickets will be available at the door or at this week’s screenings! Only $10 for JAUWS members. That includes food and one free drink! Also by attending the Halloween party you get a $5 discount on your xmas party ticket! Be there!!
